Directing KCSL – Ilia Kaufman


KCSL’s strong, experienced leadership team is directed by Ilia Kaufman, its President and Founder. With over 35 years of progressive experience in the technology industry, his technical knowledge and management expertise have made KCSL the success that it is today.

The first recipient of a Ph.D. degree in Systems Design from the University of Waterloo, he held various technical and management positions with Bell Canada other Canadian telecommunication companies. As well he has been a part-time lecturer at the University of Waterloo and Adjunct Professor at Concordia University. He is credited with the publication of a dozen scientific articles and he holds three United States patents. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). Dr. Kaufman has also been a member of the National Research Council Canada (NRC) Advisory Board for the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (CISTI) and of the Board of the Association de l’industrie de la langue / Language Industry Association (AILIA).

Since founding KCSL, Dr. Kaufman has directed the Company's development of pioneering software that is in use on millions of computers worldwide. He has been instrumental in the development of many innovative language and reference software products that have set the standards in the industry.
