One of a Kind Technology!


UniFind™ Technology is unique in that it has not succumbed to certain industry myths regarding what essential factors a search system should have. UniFind focuses on technologies that KCSL’s thorough quantitative analyses have consistently proven lead to better search results. Many vendors have created functions which in theory have been designed to yield better search results, but which in practice often don’t. Vendors’ rhetoric on these functions has become so pervasive and superficially convincing that, despite their dubious merit, many Enterprise clients have come to believe that these functions are essential components of a search system. UniFind shows that these functions are superfluous, that they serve only to complicate implementations and maintenance and, at times they even contribute to worse search results.

UniFind seeks to clarify these myths, which do have some merit. A few simple, strategic categories can be a useful navigation tool, as can a few key Meta Tags be a useful filtering mechanism. A short, specific synonym list can also be helpful. In addition, Boolean search options can be useful to those who are very skillful using them or when searching for very unique identifiers, such as ISBN numbers. For these reasons, UniFind supports such functionality. However, in the vast majority of circumstances, UniFind’s unique ability to dynamically, automatically, and linguistically analyze questions and documents, renders most such functions, almost completely, if not entirely, obsolete.
